Your Assignment

You will work as an assistant to a child with special needs, which include both motor and cognitive variations. The work involves heavy lifting and a lot of care, such as tube feeding. Together with colleagues, you will follow planned education and provide the child with opportunities to learn and develop in a playful way based on their needs. You will receive support and guidance to ensure the child develops in the best possible way.

Working as an assistant in preschool is an important role where you are responsible for following and supporting a child in the group. You will be there for the child during play, activities, routines, and care throughout their day at preschool. Your work is crucial for the child's well-being, security, and development, and for how the child experiences their days with us. You will have close collaboration with other educators, guardians, habilitation, physiotherapists, and special educators.

Your Background

We are looking for someone with experience working with individuals in need of special support. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or variations is seen as a positive. We prefer that you have a childcare education or similar. Being fluent in Swedish is a requirement as there is a lot of communication and collaboration with others in this role.

As a person, you are empathetic and can quickly put yourself in someone else's perspective or situation. You are communicative and have an easy time listening and adapting your way of communicating. Furthermore, you collaborate and relate to others in a considerate and smooth manner. You are good at creating, maintaining, and developing professional relationships. This job suits you if you have good pedagogical skills and an understanding of people's different conditions for absorbing knowledge.
