The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care, SiS, is an authority responsible for individually adapted compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial issues and for adults with substance abuse. SiS LVM Home Hornö receives men with alcohol, drug, or mixed substance abuse. We accept men with mental health issues and men with aggressive behavior. We are tasked with providing care for clients with special care needs.

Job Description

Do you want to help create the life-changing difference for vulnerable people? Then the job as a treatment assistant at SiS is a meaningful challenge. The goal of your assignment is to motivate our clients to new and less risky ways of living. As a treatment assistant, you ensure that the routines on the department function as they should. You play a significant role in the stability and safety of our clients and provide the foundation for daily life, such as cleaning, cooking, and more. You contribute to maintaining safety in the institution according to our routines, and documentation is an important part of your work. You will work on building secure relationships and help ensure that our clients receive the safety and security they need to break old habits. Together with your team of dedicated colleagues, such as treatment educators and treatment coordinators, you have the opportunity to achieve good results and contribute to change. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, joyful, and varied.

Working hours are according to a schedule of days, evenings, and weekends.

As a new employee, you will undergo SiS basic training for 10 weeks. The training combines theory with guided introduction and prepares you for the treatment role in SiS operations.

Qualifications

Your personal suitability is key to life-changing transformation. Therefore, you need to have a good ability to create engagement and participation. Equally important is that you have a solid positive view of humanity, great empathy, and the ability to build good relationships. You have good communication skills and can remain calm even in stressful situations. You also have the ability to collaborate with others and are happy to share your knowledge with colleagues.

You should also have:

• Completed upper secondary education
• Experience working with people in vulnerable life situations, e.g., in psychiatry, HVB operations, or care and social services.
• Driver's license B
• Good Swedish in speech and writing

Employment:

The position is a permanent full-time employment that begins with a six-month probationary period. Start date according to agreement.
