Our Operations

As a curator at Akademiska Sjukhuset, you will work in many different areas and meet patients in both inpatient and outpatient care. Since Akademiska sjukhuset is a university hospital with a mission to both provide healthcare and conduct research, you will also have the opportunity to help develop care for our patients.

Being a curator at Akademiska Sjukhuset is an exciting job where you will meet people in many different situations, and you can expect a varied job with challenging tasks. You will also be part of a skilled team that supports and helps each other while you will work independently. The introduction is tailored to your conditions to help you settle into your work well. Each year, an individual competence plan is made together with your immediate supervisor. Knowledge development also occurs through professional meetings where the region's curators exchange knowledge and experience, as well as through networks and interdisciplinary meetings. Regular supervision is mandatory. For the health professions group, there is also support in the profession in the form of a mentorship program, known as the profession step.

Your Mission

The position is located within geriatric outpatient and inpatient care at Akademiska sjukhuset. Common tasks include:

• Psychosocial assessment and treatment work
• Supportive, advisory, and processing conversations with patients and relatives
• Coordination of contacts with authorities and other healthcare providers
• Leading and being responsible for patient groups/relative groups
• Participating in interdisciplinary team rounds
• Supervision of social work students
• Participation in development work

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a trained social worker, preferably a licensed healthcare curator. We appreciate experience in healthcare. The work will also involve supervising curator students, so experience/training in supervision is seen as an advantage. Experience in healthcare is also considered advantageous.

It is good if you are confident in your professional role and comfortable making priorities. We believe you thrive when the work pace is high at times and that you have the ability to work independently, prioritize, and create structure among your various tasks. Since Akademiska sjukhuset has a close collaboration with the university, we would like you to be interested in following, developing, and participating in the latest research. The work requires that you have a good attitude, are flexible, and have a well-developed ability to collaborate.

We offer a temporary position at 100% for about 8 months. Start date according to agreement.
