Personal Assistant Needed in Uppsala

I am a woman in my 70s living centrally in Uppsala, seeking an experienced personal assistant to help me in my daily life. I am social and enjoy spending time with people. My disability, resulting from a stroke that has affected my left side, means I use a wheelchair and need assistance with everything in my daily life - from personal hygiene to participating in activities. I am verbal, but sometimes I need extra motivation to engage in activities or daily tasks.

I attend senior courses at Stockholm University and enjoy watching movies, shopping, and being active in social settings. The job requires great patience and the ability to be empathetic and pedagogical, as it is important that you can motivate and support me through both small and large challenges in daily life.

I am looking for someone with experience in personal assistance, preferably with knowledge of working with individuals with reduced mobility. You are empathetic, patient, responsible, and attentive, and comfortable taking your own initiative. It is an advantage if you can cook and assist with transfers. Experience with stroke is a significant plus.

About the Position:

Working hours are varied, including both day shifts and afternoon/night shifts, including sleeping duty. The position is on an as-needed basis, meaning you step in when regular staff are off, sick, or on vacation.

Salary:

Individual salary setting. Collective agreement Fremia-Communal.
