Your mission

Movant in Uppsala conducts vocational training for adults on behalf of the municipality and has been present in Uppsala since 2019. We care about ensuring that our students are employable when they complete their training with us.

At Movant in Uppsala, we have participants in the Construction and Civil Engineering program, Electrical and Energy program, and HVAC and Property program with specializations in HVAC installer, insulation installer, sprinkler installer, property caretaker, and property technician.

We are now looking for a qualified teacher in the HVAC and property program. You should be qualified to teach the subjects HVAC installer, insulation installer, and sprinkler installer, property caretaker, and property technician. You will work closely with other vocational teachers.

As a teacher with us, you will have the opportunity to help our participants achieve their goals and develop skills in a creative way. The position includes planning, teaching, documentation, and grading in the electrical installer training. Additionally, as an HVAC teacher, in collaboration with the students, you will support and help them find APL placements and then visit them at their APL placements. Therefore, you should have a B driver's license and access to a car.

You are responsible for integrating teaching within vocational training, meaning that students develop skills that lead to them being able to take a job in their chosen field. Forget traditional lecturing and act together with both students and other educators.

The position involves achieving course goals through theoretical and practical presentations and exercises corresponding to various vocational courses within HVAC and property technology.

Gender equality and environmental issues should be integrated into the education, where discussions should start from how things look in society today and how they affect the area of activity the participant is in.

We see that you are self-driven and structured with the ability to organize, take responsibility for, and prioritize your activities effectively. You have an inviting manner and are solution-oriented.

Meritorious:

Vocational teacher certification in HVAC, Sprinkler, insulation installer, property caretaker, and property technician.

What we are looking for

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people and is passionate about personal development. You want to create opportunities for individuals to contribute to positive societal development. You should have a creative and open approach to teaching situations. Have a pedagogical and clear structure and be open to change. You should be social and able to handle people from different backgrounds. We prefer that you have good computer skills and the ability to learn digital programs. Experience with the Office suite, SharePoint, and Omniway is an advantage.
