We cover your training to become a certified instructor. The training is done online in parallel with practical experience. The experience you gain is a great merit for future workplaces, say former instructors.

Linnéa's Swim School has been teaching children to swim since 1993 and has become a leader in the development of infant swimming over the years. Since 2016, we have our own lovely swimming facility in Uppsala.

Education or experience in teaching/pedagogy/healthcare professions is advantageous but not a requirement. You should not be looking for a full-time job. This is a part-time job during the terms and perfect to combine with parental leave or studies. To attend the instructor training, you must be at least 18 years old.

You should be enthusiastic, positive, easy to share yourself, structured, and responsible. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. As a swimming instructor, you will teach children from 3 months to 10 years old with their parents in age-appropriate groups. You will follow your groups every week at the same times, preferably on weekends. A work shift is about 2.5-4 hours long, and you work one or more shifts a week. The job includes some documentation.

You will be part of a team, and some feedback/training occurs continuously to ensure that everyone in the workgroup works according to the curriculum.

Being a baby and toddler swimming instructor is one of the most fun and developing jobs there is.
