Technical Analyst for the National Cybersecurity Center (NCSC)

The National Cybersecurity Center, NCSC, is looking for a technical analyst who wants to participate in building the center's operations at FRA. Your Mission

As a technical analyst, you will be part of the NCSC department, which since 2024 has been part of FRA and serves as a collaboration platform for authorities and businesses working to prevent, detect, and manage cyber threats and strengthen national cybersecurity.

In the role of technical analyst, you will have a versatile area of responsibility and are expected to participate in the development and dissemination of situational and threat assessments/reports aimed at NCSC's target groups and contribute to development in the field. In addition, the role includes contact and collaboration – both internally at FRA, with other authorities, and with NCSC's external target groups.

You will primarily work with:

  • Gathering, processing, and analyzing information from various types of open sources
  • Preparing written reports and delivering oral presentations
  • Monitoring and following the development of cybersecurity threats in Sweden and on the global stage
  • Working with CTI tools (Cyber Threat Intelligence tools)
  • Traveling for work may occur, both domestically and internationally.

You Can

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Completed higher education – for example, in a social science subject, or in another area that the employer deems relevant
  • Experience in analytical work at an authority or in another organization that the employer deems relevant
  • Experience in preparing written reports and delivering oral presentations
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
  • Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written

We consider it advantageous if you have:

  • Experience working in intelligence or security services, or in another security policy activity
  • Experience in developing threat assessments
  • Experience in operational or methodological development within environmental analysis or threat analysis
  • Experience collaborating with authorities or businesses
  • Experience working in or collaborating with international organizations, e.g., the EU

More Information

The workplace is located near Drottningholm, about 10 minutes from Brommaplan. Swedish citizenship is a requirement as employment at FRA involves placement in a security class. Before employment, you will be security vetted in accordance with the provisions of the security protection act. With employment comes an obligation to be placed in wartime.
