About the role

Castra is looking for an experienced Infrastructure Architect who wants to work with the design, development, and long-term management of stable, secure, and scalable IT environments. In this role, you will have overall responsibility for the infrastructure and act as a technical sounding board in both strategic and operational matters.

You will work closely with the business, IT operations, development teams, and external suppliers to ensure that the infrastructure supports the organization's needs – today and in the future. The role includes both further development of existing environments and participation in new initiatives, such as procurement, modernization, or transition to cloud and hybrid solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and further develop IT infrastructure architecture in complex environments

• Develop architectural guidelines, principles, and technical choices

• Ensure high availability, security, performance, and manageability

• Support IT operations and development teams with architectural support and technical guidance

• Participate in procurements, supplier dialogues, and technical evaluations

• Contribute to technical planning, roadmap work, and long-term architectural decisions

Your profile

We are looking for someone who has:

• Several years of experience working with IT infrastructure in larger organizations

• Experience in architecture within servers, networks, storage, and virtualization

• Good understanding of cloud platforms and hybrid IT environments

• Experience working with security, continuity, redundancy, and lifecycle management

• Experience working systematically with documentation and architectural principles

We would like you to have at least eight years of relevant experience, including several years in an architect role or a similar senior technical role.
