About the job

The IT department of the Swedish Tax Agency is one of the largest in Sweden, with a large and complex IT environment. We are responsible for the operation, management, and development of the IT systems of the Swedish Tax Agency and our clients. The Swedish Tax Agency has received an expanded mandate to provide IT operations services to more authorities and deliver an AI workshop for the public sector. Therefore, we are expanding our team responsible for the OpenShift platform. Together with knowledgeable and innovative colleagues, you will contribute to the Swedish Tax Agency's mission to create societal benefit.

You will be part of a team that works according to GitOps as a method for developing and managing code. You will also work on building automations for self-service, monitoring, and configuration in a multi-cluster environment. In your work, you will use tools such as Helm charts, GitHub, Argo CD, and Vault. The team uses innovation sprints to evaluate new products, tools, and methods together.

Your tasks include working with cluster management for the Swedish Tax Agency and other users of the OpenShift platform, as well as actively working on security-enhancing measures. Your responsibilities will also include participating in the design and architecture of the OpenShift platform for the Swedish Tax Agency and other authorities.

You belong to the Operating Systems Section at the Technical Services Unit of the Swedish Tax Agency's IT department, located in Sundbyberg.

You should also have:

  • relevant post-secondary education in IT or several years of current and relevant work experience
  • several years of current and relevant experience in OpenShift cluster management and administration in an enterprise environment.

It is desirable if you have experience working with automation supported by Argo CD, GitHub, Ansible, and/or equivalent tools that the employer assesses as relevant. It is also desirable that you have relevant experience working according to GitOps methodology.

Good to know

The employment is permanent and may start with a six-month probationary period.

Employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security review with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a hiring decision. For some of our tasks in the security class, Swedish citizenship is required.
