About the AssignmentWe are looking for an experienced platform manager for ServiceNow for a large and complex organization in the public sector. You will be a key person in a team of ServiceNow developers and work closely with the tech lead, senior developers, and business analysts to steer the platform in a more manageable direction.
The environment is characterized by an agile working method according to Scrum and a ServiceNow instance that has been in operation for a long time, where much functionality is custom-developed. The platform is on-prem and operated via an external service partner, which means you will lead and instruct the service partner in necessary actions. A central focus is to manage technical debt related to platform operations, drive upgrades, and ensure secure and incident-free operations.
Responsibilities- Translate business needs into solution proposals that the development team can take forward.
- Drive and lead ServiceNow upgrades and upgrades of server environments related to the platform.
- Ensure stable, secure, and incident-free operation of the ServiceNow platform.
- Support and instruct the service partner with clear, quality-assured action plans.
- Reduce technical debt and design debt within platform operations and platform design.
- Make and anchor overarching technical decisions together with the tech lead and other senior developers.
- Update and improve internal instructions and documentation for the service partner.
- Coach and train colleagues in the operation and management of the ServiceNow instance.
- Participate in dialogues with stakeholders and collaborate closely with business analysts.
- Documented senior experience as a platform manager for ServiceNow (equivalent high competence and independent main responsibility).
- Certification: ServiceNow Certified System Administrator.
- Experience working closely with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Structured working method with a focus on quality assurance and risk management.
- Very good ability to work independently and drive multiple initiatives concurrently.
- Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
- Additional relevant ServiceNow certifications.
- ITIL certification.
- Experience from large and complex organizations in the public sector.
- Experience with ServiceNow on-prem instances.
- Experience with older ServiceNow instances and extensive ServiceNow experience.
