Do you want a meaningful job and contribute to a safer Sweden in an uncertain world? The changing global situation means that our defense needs to be strengthened, and the increased intelligence activities against Sweden and the Armed Forces are extensive. The Military Intelligence and Security Service conducts operations within defense intelligence, military intelligence, and military security services.
We are now looking for an experienced employee who wants to work with network architecture, design, development, and transformation projects of the Armed Forces' IT infrastructure within MUST. The focus will be on the production and further development of secure IT solutions, which also includes planning and technical project management within network services. Together with us in the section, you will contribute to effective information management, both in the short and long term. A gradual handover to operations will be planned over time, and collaboration with other sections will occur continuously.
Main Responsibilities

You will primarily work with issues related to network architecture, design, further development, and transformation projects of secure communication solutions and network infrastructures. The work also includes configuration, documentation, as well as planning and support for management and the operations organization. The work is varied, and to succeed in your role, you will work together with colleagues and be prepared to also work “Hands On”, both high and low. Your tasks will include participating in and supporting the office's other activities. On-call duty and travel may occur.
Qualifications
- Academic/post-secondary education with a focus on networks and data communication, systems science, or equivalent knowledge that can be assessed as equivalent by the employer.
- Several years of relevant professional experience
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing.
Desirable Qualifications
- Knowledge of information/IT security
- Certifications in CISCO products
- Deep understanding of the function and configuration of routers, switches, firewalls
- Technical project management
- Experience from IT infrastructure in the Armed Forces or another authority within total defense

Other Information
Employment type: Permanent employment with a six-month probationary period.
Work location: Stockholm. There is no possibility for remote work in this role.

Employment with us involves placement in a security class. Usually, Swedish citizenship is required.
