We are now looking for a safe, responsible, and competent resource for a child with type 1 diabetes.

The position is child-specific and involves a close and significant assignment where the child's safety, health, and participation are always at the center.

About the assignment

As a resource, you will follow the child throughout the preschool day and ensure that the child can participate in activities in an equal and safe manner.

You are responsible for support related to the child's diagnosis and condition in collaboration with educators, guardians, and, if necessary, medical instances.

The assignment requires both structure and heart – as well as the ability to act calmly when it is needed the most.

Job responsibilities

  • Be a close support for the child throughout the day
  • Follow routines related to self-care connected to type 1 diabetes
  • Create safety, predictability, and participation in play and learning
  • Professionally collaborate with educators and guardians
  • Document and communicate according to agreed routines

Qualifications

  • Relevant education and experience regarding type 1 diabetes in preschool-aged children
  • Experience working with preschool-aged children
  • English C2/native level – as English is the child's mother tongue and a daily working language
  • Swedish at least A2–B1 (CEFR) – for safe communication, routines, and documentation.
  • Very good sense of responsibility and ability to follow routines
  • Good collaboration skills and a professional approach

Personal qualities

  • Safe, calm, and empathetic
  • Structured and attentive to details
  • Flexible and solution-focused
  • Ability to build trust and create a safe relationship with the child

We offer

  • A meaningful assignment where you make a real difference
  • Support from a professional team
  • Introduction and clear routines
  • A work environment where the child's best interests always come first

Recruitment process

We apply several work samples, both written and practical, as part of the recruitment process. This is to ensure the right competence and match to our working methods.

Application

For your application to be processed, it must include:

  • Scanned copy of educational certificates

  • Salary expectations
  • References

Only complete applications from candidates who meet all requirements will be answered and processed.

Miscellaneous

We have an ongoing recruitment process, which means that selection and interviews take place continuously during the advertising period.

The position is child-specific and may be reconsidered based on the child's needs.

A criminal record extract is required according to current legislation.
