Stockholm – our capital city with millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions

We work for everyone living here today and in the future. We are now looking for you who want to think big, new, and differently with us – for the people of Stockholm.

Welcome to us

We are now launching a new initiative within social services – untested in Sweden but proven internationally.

Enskede-Årsta-Vantör and Järva municipal administrations, together with the social administration, have applied for project funding to start two MST-CAN teams as the first municipality in Sweden. The project is planned to last for three years starting in April 2026, provided that funding is granted. With good results, the ambition is to scale up the initiative within the City of Stockholm. This is a unique opportunity to be part of building a new operation.

MST-CAN is an evidence-based and intensive treatment method for families where children aged 6–17 are exposed to violence, neglect, or severe lack of care. The treatment primarily takes place in the family's home, is clearly structured, and is based on close collaboration around the child. The method is adapted for complex issues, including trauma and substance abuse.

An MST-CAN team works with approximately 12–15 families per year and consists of a group leader, family therapists, and family resources. On-call duty is shared between the teams in Enskede-Årsta-Vantör and Järva.

Information Meeting

On January 30th from 09:00 to 10:30, a digital information meeting will be held via Zoom in collaboration with MST-CAN Norway.

We offer

The MST-CAN teams will receive training, supervision, and quality assurance. You will receive a wellness allowance of 3000 SEK/year. We have winter and summer working hours. In the city, as an employee, you have the opportunity for more vacation days than what is regulated by law. You also have the option to exchange vacation day supplements for more vacation days. We have flexible hours with the possibility to influence your working hours within given time frames.

Your role

As a group leader for a new outpatient team, you will have a central role in the development project. You will belong to a project group together with the social administration and Järva municipal administration and conduct implementation and follow-up work for the model within the framework of the project and documentation requirements. You will lead and support experienced family therapists in a methodologically faithful and evidence-based work with children and families in very vulnerable situations. You and the team have a clear mission, strong methodological support, and international quality assurance.

Supervision according to the MST model takes place weekly in both meetings and in writing. You will inform families and collaboration partners both internally and externally about the initiative and ensure that assignments are given and that the team's work meets expectations. You will be an active support for the family therapists in the team both operationally and administratively. The role includes close and good collaboration with other actors around the families. You will collaborate with the Family Services Research Center at the Medical University of South Carolina to ensure that all data for TAM-CAN and necessary research measures are collected. You will receive regular and substantial support from MST's external consultant regarding the team's and your development plans and quality assurance. Participation in training, supervision, and consultation is included.

The MST initiative includes on-call duty as families have access to support around the clock. The work for you as a group leader is mainly scheduled during the day, but on-call duty may occasionally occur if you need to support the team.
