You dare to try new things. And learn from experiences. Just like us.

Here in the welfare and care sector, our goal is to be a collaborative organization that works professionally and is based on the user's own reality. Our values are permeated by a user perspective and a child perspective.

The Youth Unit is a unit within the authority department in the welfare and care sector. The unit consists of three investigation groups with about seven social workers in each group, one of whom is a senior social worker. The unit also has an SSPF coordinator. One of the investigation groups focuses on youth with norm-breaking behavior and youth at risk of reoffending. We are now looking for an investigative social worker for the group dealing with youth with norm-breaking behavior and a social worker for one of the other groups. Each group has a group leader who leads and distributes the work. The target group is children/youth aged 13 - 20 years and their families/networks. We work with investigations and follow-ups of interventions according to the Social Services Act (SoL), the Act with Special Provisions on the Care of Young People (LVU), and the Act on the Placement of Children in Protected Housing. Our focus is to conduct good social work. For us in the Youth Unit, this means creating investigation processes that are beneficial for the families' change work. When there is a need for interventions, support and treatment are offered as far as possible at home.

We are now looking for you who want to take on the challenge of working as a social worker with our children/youth and be involved in our development work within the target group.

Your tasks include investigating, assessing, making decisions, and following up on interventions according to current legislation. The work involves conversations and collaboration with children/youth, their families, and other external actors such as health care, schools, and the police. You also work closely with colleagues within the department and sector. The governing factors in the work are applicable legislation and regulations in the area. You will also be involved in the quality and development work of the organization.

We want you to be a trained social worker and have experience in authority exercise within the child and youth area. We want you to have training and experience working according to BBiC, and it is desirable that you have worked in the operational system Pulsen Combine. You are responsible and have good collaboration skills. We place great importance on your personal qualities and maturity. You need to be attentive, and in stressful situations, it is important that you can maintain a professional approach and attitude. You are structured and enjoy seeking information to get answers to various questions. It is also important that you have an interest in learning more and developing in the field. Since documentation is an important part of the work, you need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language as well as good administrative skills.

We offer you a creative workplace with opportunities for professional development. Your introduction program will be followed up by the department's development leader, and relevant training for your assignment is included. In addition to support from the unit's group leader, you will receive support in your daily work from the unit's senior social workers. You will also receive external supervision. Sundbyberg City offers wellness grants and the opportunity to exchange vacation salary supplements for extra days off. We are located in modern premises in Sundbyberg City Hall in Hallonbergen.

The positions are permanent, full-time. Start date according to agreement.

To be considered for this position, a valid extract from the criminal record is required.

Please apply by February 15, 2026. The selection process will be ongoing during the application period. We do not accept applications via email.
