Futuraskolan International Hertig Karl is the small school with a global perspective. We have a bilingual English-Swedish focus and are proud to have students and staff from different parts of the world with us. This creates a dynamic and international environment that is full of energy and joy. The school has one class in each grade from preschool to grade 9, and we currently have the privilege of taking care of over 200 students who spend their days with us. The school is located in Rotebro center, Sollentuna, and it is easy to reach the school through good public transport connections by bus or commuter train.

Your role

We are looking for an engaged and driven school counselor for Futuraskolan International Hertig Karl, starting in February or by agreement. You have a clear student focus, work closely with the operations, and value being visible among students and educators. Together with other members of the student health team, you work proactively and preventively at the individual, group, and organizational levels to create the best conditions for our students.

The position also includes responsibility for safety work and attendance-promoting efforts as well as work against discrimination and bullying. You actively work with follow-up and interventions regarding school absenteeism together with the EHT and work teams.

Your tasks include, among others:

• Participating in the student health team's work focusing on psychosocial issues and participating in the systematic quality work within student health.

• Working consultatively with educators and other professionals within the school.

• Collaborating with external actors such as the police, social services, and habilitation.

• Having supportive conversations with students and parents.

• Participating in student health meetings with students, guardians, and other professionals at the school.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a trained social worker with experience working with children and young people. You have a good understanding of social services regulations and the school's governing documents.

To succeed in the position, it is important that you are structured, self-driven, and have a good ability to plan and prioritize your work effectively. You are responsible, attentive, empathetic, and have good collaboration skills.
