Air Inspector in Military Aviation
Are you a collaborative person who wants to develop in a modern and growing organization while also making a societal impact? Military aviation is an activity that involves unavoidable risks. By developing regulations and conducting oversight, it is our task to ensure that this activity is carried out in a way that does not expose lives and property to unnecessary risks, a task we fulfill on behalf of the government. Do you want to help us solve our important mission?
About Us
The Military Aviation Inspectorate (FLYGI) is a modern workplace where employees are given great opportunities to, together with their manager, plan the execution of work in terms of both time and place. We actively work to create an equal and equitable organization and strive for a balanced gender distribution at all levels.
Currently, FLYGI is in an expansive phase with interesting tasks influenced by, for example, a new version of the JAS 39 Gripen, a new training aircraft, a new radar reconnaissance aircraft, unmanned aerial systems, and simultaneously maintaining the current versions of the Armed Forces' aircraft. FLYGI participates in international working groups that develop a common European regulatory framework regarding the design, manufacture, and maintenance of aviation products.
FLYGI, which organizationally belongs to the Armed Forces Headquarters, currently consists of 21 employees and has two sections. Our headquarters is located near Gärdet (Tegeluddsvägen 100) in Stockholm. In order to be close to the operations that FLYGI is mandated to oversee, we also have office spaces in other locations across the country.
FLYGI develops regulations and conducts oversight activities within the military aviation system. We develop regulations for military aviation on behalf of the Supreme Commander but are independent from the Armed Forces in our oversight function and report directly to the Government in this regard.
