As a temporary technical specialist in risk management, you will play a central role in creating a safe, sustainable, and future-proof railway.
Your upcoming role As a specialist in risk management, you will work alongside vehicle projects and line operations across the entire Vehicle Division. The main focus is risk management related to traffic safety, but it often includes risks concerning workplace safety, environment, and quality. You will work on long-term vehicle projects (procurement and renovation) as well as smaller changes in the line. We operate according to the regulations applicable to railway traffic, such as RAMS (EN50126), CSM-RA, ECM, TSDs, and national requirements as well as other rules and laws applicable to our operations.
You will work with:
Developing system definitions and safety plans for projects.
Establishing and updating Hazard Records throughout the project.
Initiating activities included in the safety plan, such as risk analyses and safety meetings.
Documenting safety work based on the project's scope and requirements.
Being the contact person alongside the project manager towards independent reviewers and internal and external entities when approval is needed.
Conducting Change Assessment (BaF) together with line operations.
Coordinating simplified risk analyses in ongoing work.
In your competence center team, you will work alongside 2 additional risk specialists and have many contacts with vehicle engineers, the Traffic Safety support function, and representatives from our production. The work involves collaboration and contacts with both Swedish and international suppliers and stakeholders, hence travel is part of the job.
Expectations for the candidate we seek You have a strong interest in technical development and in contributing to building the future's climate-smart railway travel. We are looking for someone who is self-driven, innovative, and creative, and who is passionate about cutting-edge technology. You are communicative with good social skills, accustomed to creating and maintaining contacts, preferably in international environments. As a person, you are unpretentious, curious, and generous in collaboration with colleagues, contributing to a strong culture of improvement. You approach complex issues with curiosity and drive, understanding both the big picture and the details.
Have at least 5–10 years of experience in similar tasks.
Hold a university degree or equivalent experience.
You have excellent knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
Understand organizational requirements and business challenges.
Experience in safety work within railways or another industry with similar safety requirements is an advantage.
Application and information Selection is ongoing, so please submit your application as soon as possible, but no later than February 8. This position is a temporary role for approximately ten months with a desired start in March 2026. The position is full-time, with the possibility of part-time work by agreement.
