Property Manager for Solna City

With us, you will have the opportunity to manage and develop properties in Solna City and have overall responsibility for one of our management areas, which includes schools, preschools, cultural and sports facilities, as well as properties related to care.

As a property manager, you will play an important role in collaboration with tenants and colleagues!

About us

The Property Department is responsible for supervision, maintenance, and development of the city's own property portfolio. The property portfolio consists of approximately 225 properties primarily used in the city's own operations, e.g., in preschools, schools, cultural and sports facilities, and care services.

What does the job entail?

As a manager with us, you will among other things:

  • Have overall responsibility for all properties within one of our management areas; Schools, Preschools, Cultural and Leisure Properties, or Care Properties.
  • Prioritize actions based on tenant needs and the condition and function of the buildings.
  • A significant part of your working time will be spent collaborating with our tenants to develop the properties.
  • Maintain continuous contact and dialogue with tenants and lead smaller maintenance and renovation projects.
  • Since the ongoing property operations are outsourced to contractors, managing and following up on the supplier is an important part of your work as a property manager. You will have support from a technical specialist, operations controller, project unit, and other colleagues in the property department.

The tenants you meet in your work reflect the city's exciting areas of activity, and you will meet colleagues daily from, among others, the Department of Children and Education, the Department of Care, and the Department of Culture and Leisure. The goal of the work is, of course, that our tenants should have the best possible properties within schools, preschools, cultural and leisure properties, and care.

Solna City and the Technical Administration have well-developed methods and working practices for effective contractor management and contract follow-up, which provides you with good support in your daily follow-up work. The Technical Administration also has a dedicated team for procurement and contract follow-up that coordinates and supports the departments' work.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Post-secondary education or further training deemed relevant for the role of property manager.
  • At least one year of experience as a property manager or technical manager.
  • The ability to communicate very well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

If you also have experience in procurement work, this is an advantage.

To succeed in the role, you must be proactive and structured. You take initiative and thrive with freedom under responsibility. The Property Department is a service function to the city's operations, and we therefore want you to have good collaboration skills and the ability to understand others' roles and conditions.

We see that you have a good stylistic ability. It is important that you understand and can apply economic principles and thrive in roles where you can also focus on costs and revenues.
