Join our Payroll Team in Eskilstuna

Do you want to work in a service-oriented role within payroll? Here, you will help develop and support various management areas within municipal operations and contribute to new and more efficient working methods. We are now looking for a person for a fixed-term employment until December 31, 2026.

At Payroll Services, we are responsible for all payroll management in the Eskilstuna municipal group. We are a total of 24 people in the unit. Our most important task is to ensure that all employees receive the correct salary on time. We work with modern processes with a strong focus on business development and continuous improvements. Right now, we are in the startup phase of implementing our recently procured payroll system, which will provide even better conditions for our work going forward. Therefore, we hope you have good experience working with various digital systems and conducting training or introductions for other users, as well as enjoying change work and new working methods. You will be an important part of our dedicated team.

We place great importance on the work environment and apply both flexible hours and remote work. We offer a solid introduction with an experienced mentor to ensure you feel secure in your work. Together with the municipality's HR function, we also staff the support, HR Direct. This provides good opportunities for development and career advancement within our organization. We are centrally located in Eskilstuna and have easy access to the train station.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a payroll consultant, you will be responsible for performing checks, monitoring, quality assurance, and some registration of payroll data. We are responsible for the digital signing process of employment contracts. You will be part of the municipality's support function within HR/payroll and have direct contact with managers and employees, which allows you to learn a lot about collective agreements and labor law. You will also collaborate with authorities such as the Swedish Social Insurance Agency and the Swedish Tax Agency. We are currently in an exciting phase of implementing the municipality's new payroll system.

Together with colleagues, you will also staff our support phone. This is where managers and other employees in the municipal group turn for assistance. During larger changes affecting other departments, your expertise may also be needed in various projects. We have clear deadlines that we need to meet. Therefore, there are periods of high tempo, but there are also times when it is a bit quieter.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a post-secondary education focused on payroll. We believe you have already worked in service with a lot of customer contact. Of course, you have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. If you have gained some experience in handling personnel systems and payroll systems and have basic knowledge of collective agreements, that is certainly a plus.
