Are you looking for a meaningful job where you can make a difference? We are now seeking part-time and summer substitutes throughout Gothenburg.

You will work to provide support and care to individuals with various needs and unique life situations.

The work includes a variety of tasks such as educational support in daily life, personal care, and common household tasks like laundry and cooking. Part of the job also involves documenting the development and needs of the assistance user. Some tasks may also include medication management according to delegation. As an assistant, you play a central role in creating a meaningful everyday life and contributing to the well-being and independence of the assistance user.

You will work where the assistance user is, which means you will be in the assistance user's home or at activities outside the home.

As a part-time substitute, you will be offered:

Flexible working hours. You can combine work with studies or other activities.
Control your working hours by entering your availability and receiving requests accordingly.

Working hours are scheduled for days and evenings, weekdays and weekends according to a schedule. Sleeping on-call, awake night shifts, and full-day shifts may also occur.

As a part-time substitute, you enter your availability in our booking system when you wish to work. When needs arise in the organization, our staffing planners will book you for shifts based on your availability.

When you work with us during the summer holiday period, you will receive a monthly contract with the possibility of 100% employment during the employment period. You will primarily be at the same unit throughout your employment period.

Qualifications

To work as a substitute within functional support, you need to be at least 18 years old, in accordance with regulations regarding minors' working environment 14§ and appendix 2 1B (AFS 2023:2). If you do not meet the passing grade in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1, you may be offered a language test via EducateIt.

It is advantageous if you have experience in similar work as well as experience with mobility aids or lifting techniques. It is also advantageous if you are trained or have ongoing training as a support assistant, nursing assistant, or another relevant education.

In your role as a personal assistant, you show respect and consideration for those you meet in your professional role. You start from everyone's equal value and create a good atmosphere in the meeting. Your attitude is open and positive as you have the user's/customer's needs as the basis for your actions. You listen to other people to understand their needs and are receptive to them by showing respect, consideration, and care.

You collaborate well with others to perform tasks and achieve goals. By showing commitment and understanding, you contribute to a respectful work climate. As a personal assistant, you handle stress effectively, balance demands, remain calm, and make well-informed decisions under pressure.

In the Functional Support Administration, we work with competence supply through the 3T concept - Temporary to Permanent, which means there is a training initiative aimed at combining education with work through the staffing unit. The goal is to lead to a permanent position in the administration after completing studies.

When working in an individual's home: An unopened extract from the police criminal record is required before a job offer. You must request this extract yourself by using either the police's e-service (Control of own information) or a specific form (Extract no. 442.3).

When working with children under 18 years: You must also present an unopened extract from the police register before being offered a job. You can order this extract digitally, which will be sent to your digital mailbox, or via the police's website with a specific form for personnel working with children with disabilities (Extract no. 442.9).
