The County Administrative Board is the government’s representative in the county and coordinates regional development work. We work with issues related to environmental and nature conservation, rural areas, urban planning, animal welfare, preparedness, gender equality, integration, and cultural heritage. The position is located in the Community Building Unit, where 23 people work mainly on issues related to housing, climate, energy, cultural heritage, infrastructure, GIS, and urban planning.

The work in the unit is carried out in close collaboration with the county's municipalities, government agencies, businesses, organizations, and citizens. The entire unit's work is based on legislation and specific government assignments. You will be part of the energy and climate function, which will consist of six people.

Job Responsibilities

You will work with the processing of the state investment support Klimatklivet and with strategic initiatives regarding regional energy planning, such as developing a regional district heating analysis. The position is intended to serve as a one-year merit position where a recent graduate has the opportunity to work with various tasks in the fields of energy and climate. This experience will be valuable if you wish to work with energy and climate issues within government agencies, municipalities, and regions. Some tasks will be carried out in close collaboration and dialogue with various stakeholders in the county. You will also work independently with analysis, writing, and communication. You will be part of a group of six people working on energy and climate issues and will collaborate with more colleagues at the County Administrative Board in Halland and at other county administrative boards. Other tasks within the employer's area of activity may also occur.

Qualifications

Applicants should have a relevant university degree in energy or climate. You should have graduated within the last two years. A master's or engineering degree in energy or climate is an advantage. You should have a good understanding of the structure and function of the Swedish energy system.

You should be good at creating new contacts and collaborating with others. You have a strong ability to absorb, analyze, and evaluate information. The work requires the ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing. You are structured and used to delivering results according to deadlines. You are meticulous, communicative, service-oriented, and capable of working independently.

Your personal qualities are of great importance, as the work requires responsibility and a good ability to collaborate and communicate.
