Project Controller – Build the Future of Water and Sewer Projects with Vivab

Do you want a key role in large, socially important projects and contribute to investments being carried out with good financial management? Vivab is now looking for a Project Controller for the finance department – a newly established role where you will have the opportunity to influence, develop, and work closely with the operations.

With us, you will become an important partner to project managers and managers within the water and sewer operations, which drive hundreds of projects with budgets ranging from a few million to several hundred million kronor. The role suits you who thrive in the intersection of finance, systems, and operations and who want to work proactively with monitoring and analysis.

About the Role

As a Project Controller, you will work closely with a focus on the project's finances. You will monitor, analyze, and ensure the quality of the project's financial outcomes and forecasts, as well as contribute with decision-making support that makes a difference in practice. You will collaborate closely with project managers and also participate in meetings with contractors as needed to follow up on finances, forecasts, and deviations.

The role is located in the finance department and reports to the Chief Financial Officer.

Your Main Responsibilities

• Ongoing monitoring of project finances and quality assurance of data
• Analysis of costs, revenues, and deviations, as well as proposals for actions
• Support in budgeting and forecasting work and development of monitoring models
• Ensure that projects follow financial guidelines, goals, and processes
• Management and further development of project and financial systems
  (for example, Antura and Raindance)
• Contribute to the development of working methods, reporting, and decision support

Your Background

We are looking for someone who has:

• A degree in finance or equivalent experience that we assess as comparable
• At least 3–5 years of experience in project controlling, controlling, or financial management
• Good knowledge of accounting and year-end work
• Experience in system management or administrative responsibility for financial systems
• Very good skills in Excel

Meritorious

• Experience from municipal operations and/or the water and sewer industry
• Knowledge of investment accounting and asset registers
• Experience with Raindance, Antura, and BI tools such as Qlik Sense
• Experience in operational work in technical organizations

Employment Type: Permanent, full-time

Planned Start: April 1, 2026

Location: Falkenberg, with the possibility to also work from the office in Varberg

Other: As we work with socially important operations, the position is security classified and requires an approved security review, which includes a background check from the Security Police.
