Medical Secretary for the Medicine Reception

The Hospitals in the West is an administration within the Västra Götaland Region and consists of four hospitals – Alingsås Hospital, Angered Local Hospital, Högsbo Local Hospital, and Kungälv Hospital. Approximately 3000 employees work with us every day to provide good and safe specialist healthcare of the highest quality.

Description

The Medicine department includes the specialties of cardiology, diabetology, gastroenterology, hematology, and internal medicine. The department has three wards and a reception.

The Medicine Reception consists of medical secretaries, healthcare staff, and a unit manager. Our 10 wonderful medical secretaries are responsible for supporting the reception and its various specialties.

Responsibilities

As a medical secretary with us, you will have a wide range of tasks. In your role, you will work with medical documentation in Melior, handling referrals, printing letters, certificates, referrals, and other correspondence, booking, diagnosis and procedure registration in ELVIS, as well as several other administrative tasks.

We are looking for someone who is cheerful and positive, has an easy time collaborating with both colleagues and healthcare staff. You need to be able to work independently and be flexible. We place great importance on accuracy, good service, and a sense of responsibility. You should enjoy working in an environment with varied tasks and sometimes at a fast pace.

Qualifications

You have training in healthcare documentation as a medical secretary and can express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written. You have good experience with the journal systems Melior, Medspeech, ELVIS, and Orbit. Personal suitability and good collaboration skills are highly valued.

Conditions

The position is a temporary contract until 2026-08-31. The employment scope is full-time or as agreed.
