Business Developer for the Community Building Administration

About the Workplace

The Community Building Administration aims to promote good community development, an efficient community building process, increased housing construction, and business establishment, as well as good conditions for a rich recreational life within the municipality.

The position is a parental leave cover for 11 months and is located in the support and development unit, which includes various functions such as business developers, project managers, strategists, and GIS and measurement engineers. Currently, about 20 people work within the unit. The group is characterized by community and a willingness to support each other. The mission of the support and development unit broadly involves providing support and conditions for other operations to achieve their goals.

The civil servant organization within the Community Building Administration is located in Nödinge center, which means proximity to good public transport and services.

Job Responsibilities

As a business developer for the administration, you have a central role in our quality, improvement, and development work. You serve as a support function for both managers and employees regarding both strategic and operational issues. Much of the assignment involves initiating, leading assignments, conducting investigations and needs analyses, as well as preparing decision-making materials and benefit calculations for development initiatives in several areas.

A central part of the position involves working with governance and management issues and supporting operations in the area. Preparation of political matters and presentation in committees is also part of the role. The assignment is broad, and the tasks are adapted to central and political initiatives.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with an academic education in a relevant field for the position or work experience that the employer deems equivalent. It is an advantage if you have training in change management and/or digital transformation.

You have worked for at least a year with business development in areas such as change management, governance and management issues, process development, and digital transformation. It is an advantage if you have worked with the above in public administration.

Furthermore, you have strong system skills, and it is advantageous if you have good knowledge of Stratsys, Antura, and 2c8, which are central tools in the execution of the role.

To thrive in the role of business developer, you need to be self-driven and have an easy time taking initiative. You should enjoy and be good at collaborating, as it is a central part of the role. Since the position involves several forms of project management, you need to have the ability to engage and lead others as well as work towards set goals. It is also important that you have well-developed communication skills both verbally and in writing, very good knowledge of the Swedish language, and experience in leading meetings and conducting presentations.

As a business developer, you need to have the ability to view things from a strategic perspective and possess an understanding of consequences. To succeed in the role, you need to be good at analysis and problem-solving. A sense of structure and order will help you significantly in the assignment.
