Team Leader in Individual and Family Care

Do you want to help create a work environment where collaboration, development, and innovation are at the center? We are looking for a secure and present team leader focused on driving the work forward and ensuring that everyone in the team works towards common goals.

The Individual and Family Care is part of the social administration and works closely with our partners to provide support to the municipality's residents. We consist of two units: Children, Family, and Adults, as well as Support and Assistance. Our mission is to offer authority exercise and supportive measures with a focus on quality, participation, and a holistic view.

The Children, Family, and Adult unit receives reports and applications, decides on measures, and follows up on them. We are also responsible for family law, recruitment, and investigation of contact persons, contact families, and foster homes. In addition to authority exercise, we work preventively and offer therapeutic measures.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be part of our newly formed family and adult unit and will be responsible for the operational leadership together with two other team leaders and a treatment manager. Together, you will lead about 20 engaged employees, adult and child caseworkers, and therapists who work in cross-professional teams with the individual and family in focus, from a systems theoretical perspective.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Leading and distributing new cases
  • Supporting and guiding employees in their daily work
  • Ensuring functioning routines and methods within authority exercise and open care
  • Holding weekly unit meetings with team leader colleagues
  • Contributing to the unit's qualitative development work and environmental monitoring
  • Maintaining collaboration between authorities, open care, and external actors
  • Making decisions according to the delegation order and handling case presentations before committees and administrative courts in LVM

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work, or alternatively a degree in sociology with complementary courses for eligibility for authority exercise concerning children and youth. You have a B driver's license and can express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish, as well as having a good ability for reflection and analysis. It is a plus if you have experience in a similar position, have worked in a leadership role, and/or have leadership training.

We would like you to have experience in leading or supervising employees in matters concerning authority exercise. You have many years of experience in authority exercise, preferably focused on the target group of youth and adults, with good knowledge of the legal frameworks SoL, LVU, and LVM.

As a person, you are pedagogical, clear, and empathetic in your communication and contribute to a good work environment. You have the ability to challenge, provide constructive feedback, and support employees in their development. We believe in you who have good collaboration skills, are stress-resistant, can work independently, and make decisions. You are confident in leading even in resistance and representing the workgroup in various contexts while we value your flexibility and solution focus.

Kungsör is a calm and safe municipality with nearly 8,700 residents. Kungsör is characterized by a royal history and a uniquely beautiful nature. Central Kungsör is situated high, and the buildings stretch down towards Lake Mälaren. In the countryside, there is another locality, Valskog. The municipality is constantly growing and changing; we plan, develop, and improve new and existing areas.

Kungsör is located in the middle of Western Mälardalen, with the E20 passing just outside the locality and trains on the Svealandsbanan stopping centrally. You can quickly travel to neighboring municipalities; it takes about 15 minutes to Arboga, Köping, and Eskilstuna, 45 minutes to Västerås and Örebro, and you can reach Stockholm in an hour by express train.
