Support Assistant Wanted for Group Home

We are looking for someone who wants to work as a support assistant with us at one of our group homes.

In the group home, six individuals live in their own apartments in a single-story villa. The home is staffed around the clock with awake night shifts.

Job Responsibilities

Your role as a support assistant involves putting the individual's needs, abilities, and interests at the center. You are responsible for supporting the individual in a pedagogical and motivating way to maintain and develop their abilities and independence. You will establish implementation plans together with the individual and follow their and the organization's routines.

Listening to the individual's wishes and needs, documenting, implementing, and following up are important parts of your role. You will also collaborate with key persons in the individual's life. You are responsible for providing individualized support and service, which includes all tasks such as household chores, care, and leisure activities.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a support assistant education, care and nursing program with a focus on disabilities, or other training that the employer deems equivalent.

You need to have experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism. We prefer that you have experience working according to low-arousal approaches. It is also an advantage if you have training in sign communication and other alternative communication methods.

To thrive in this role, you should have a genuine interest in meeting your fellow human beings with great sensitivity. You should have the ability to sense, reflect, and analyze your support and your approach. Based on this, you should be able to tailor and provide the individual with personalized support according to their circumstances. You strive for continuous development in your profession.

You are a stable person who can maintain focus and calm even under rapidly changing circumstances. You have good collaboration skills and a solution-focused approach. You are a positive and supportive colleague.

Conditions

The position is a permanent employment with an employment rate of 80%.

Scheduled working hours during the day/evening and weekends.

Start date according to agreement.

Monthly salary, individual salary setting applies.
