Your tasks
As a treatment assistant, you will work to promote motivation together with the clients and provide support in various areas of life such as dependency, mental health, housing, family, finances, and finding a meaningful leisure time. The work includes collaboration with other professional groups, documentation, reporting, and follow-up of cases. You will have the role of contact person and take responsibility for the tasks that come with this function. You will also have delegation for medication distribution, as well as perform other health and medical-related tasks. To provide effective support to the target group, it is important that you have a relationship-building and stable approach. You see opportunities even in complex life situations and are determined and clear when needed. You should also have the ability to handle challenging behaviors. We apply the method of low-arousal approach with all that it entails.
The position also includes keeping the accommodation clean, tidy, and functional, as well as helping and supporting clients with the same in their emergency apartments.
Your qualifications
We are looking for someone with a YH/KY education as a treatment assistant/social pedagogue or similar that the employer finds relevant for the position. We see that you have previous experience working with the target group and good digital skills with a habit of documenting. You have good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing, as a large part of the work involves documentation. Since driving is included in the position, a driving license (B) is required. You also have a good understanding of, and share, the values that underlie the municipality's operations.
You have a solution-focused approach and are motivated to meet people with motivational needs. You are stable and secure in your role and can distinguish between the personal and the professional in your relationship with our clients. You are calm and controlled and have the ability to maintain your focus on the right things in pressured situations. You are also flexible and can easily adapt to new and unexpected circumstances.

Furan is one of 10 accommodations within the Support and Housing Unit, under the Individual and Family Administration in the city of Västerås. Furan offers 21 permanent places for individuals with harmful use and dependency and co-occurring disorders. At Furan, you will provide support and assistance to clients who have support needs in their daily lives. Clients' support needs may vary depending on mental or physical health issues or other social difficulties, but with the client in focus, we always work for the best possible meeting.

This is a full-time position that includes evenings and weekends.
In connection with the interview, you will need to prove your citizenship. You can do this with a passport or a personal certificate along with ID. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must show that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the requirement to have a work permit.
