JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Are you a trained Support Pedagogue who wants to help develop the operations and drive the educational work forward in the municipality of Köping?

We are looking for someone who is attentive, solution-focused, and user-centered.

As an employee, you will focus on the user and have knowledge of the disabilities present in the operations.

The target group consists of young adults/adults with disabilities in the form of intellectual disabilities and neuropsychiatric disabilities.

This requires you to be self-assured, have a clear communication style, be patient, flexible, responsible, and sensitive to the needs of the users. You need to be able to read the situation you are in and adjust your communication and actions based on the user you meet.

From the user perspective, we work in various ways to support and protect personal integrity, participation, and self-determination. We work with clear structure, communication, and low-arousal responses.

You will participate in the daily work with the users alongside other employees, which is essential for identifying needs and driving development work. As a Support Pedagogue, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating the educational work in the operations together with your colleagues. Your role includes engaging, implementing, and anchoring evidence-based practices within the team.

You will have additional responsibility for coordinating and informing about social documentation. You will support contact staff in understanding why and how we document, as well as follow up to ensure that implementation plans are updated and of good quality.

All work should be based on the individual user's conditions and aim to develop the user's skills and opportunities in their daily life and leisure. The goal is for the individual to have the opportunity to live like others.

You will receive support in your work as a Support Pedagogue from the municipality's Support Pedagogue team.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications: For this position, you need to be self-assured, have a clear communication style, be patient, flexible, responsible, and sensitive to the user and in collaboration with colleagues.

Post-secondary vocational training as a Support Pedagogue with 200 vocational points or 60 higher education credits in the relevant field.

Meritorious: Experience working with people with disabilities. Practical experience of IBIC, clarifying pedagogy, low-arousal responses, and AAC. Knowledge and experience of welfare technology. B driver's license.

You must master the Swedish language in such a way that you can communicate with users and colleagues. Given the requirement for social documentation, you need to have good computer skills and the ability to express yourself clearly and concisely in written Swedish.
