About the workplace

The Assistance Unit consists of 7 social welfare officers who investigate according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and 3 social welfare officers who investigate according to the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS), a team leader, and a unit manager. At the Assistance Unit, we strive for equal assessments and to maintain high legal security. We work in teams and are unpretentious. As a social welfare officer with us, you have access to support in the processing process from colleagues, team leaders, and the unit manager. We collaborate with other units within individual and family care as well as providers.

Job responsibilities

Your job is to enable a legally secure processing through qualified investigations and decisions made according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS), as well as to be responsible for follow-ups and re-evaluations of decisions. An important aspect of your work is a good citizen focus. This means you collaborate with external partners within healthcare, relatives, and close ones as well as internal partners within the disability area and other social services. It requires good communication skills and a professional working method. The work as a social welfare officer also includes informing and guiding citizens to the right support and services.

In addition to the processing process with decision-making, tasks include documenting, collaborating both externally and internally, and participating in the unit's scheduled meetings and training. We work in the operational systems Pulsen Combine and Cosmic Link and prefer that you have previous experience with them. We work based on the method Individual's Needs in Focus (IBIC).

A large part of your job is to develop processes, working methods, and work support to prevent welfare crimes. You will be responsible for developing routines, implementing them in daily work, and supporting strategic work. You will also provide some case guidance in complex cases.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a social worker, has a degree in social care, a bachelor's degree in social care, or another relevant education that the employer deems suitable. You should have previous experience in authority exercise within LSS and knowledge of personal assistance.

As a person, you are unpretentious, a quick learner, and confident in yourself, as well as having a good ability to prioritize. You are stress-resistant and flexible and ensure that what needs to be done gets done. You prefer to see opportunities rather than difficulties and enjoy challenges in finding constructive solutions to complex problems. You are humble and attentive to others' opinions. You find it easy to collaborate both internally and externally. A good reception is a given for you.

You need to be well informed about current legislation and have the ability to work with complex issues. For the position, it is required that you master the Swedish language well and can express yourself well in both speech and writing.

Requirements:

• Driving license B
• Several years of experience in authority exercise within LSS.
