Center Against Violence is Hiring a Regional Coordinator

Center Against Violence is an outpatient unit belonging to the Individual and Family Administration in the city of Västerås. We provide support to individuals with experiences of violence in close relationships, honor-related violence, prostitution, human trafficking, and the purchase of sexual services.

Your Responsibilities

As a regional coordinator, you will be part of the national strategic coordination against prostitution and human trafficking. Your mission is to support and strengthen regional actors in the fight against prostitution and human trafficking. The work includes consultation and advice to authorities, organizations, and civil society actors. It also involves training initiatives in collaboration with the Gender Equality Agency and the county administrative boards in the relevant region, as well as cooperation in national and regional networks.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or another relevant higher education, such as behavioral science. A valid driver's license and excellent proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written, are required. You have experience working with victims of violence or in related fields and possess a strong ability to collaborate with various actors and organizations. Knowledge and/or experience in combating human trafficking and prostitution is preferred. It is an advantage if you have worked with consultative support to authorities and organizations, as well as have expertise in training and lecturing. We value previous experience in coordination or coordinator roles.

We Offer

We believe in trust and freedom under responsibility. This means you will plan your workday, have flexible hours, and the opportunity to work remotely part of the time. The workgroup consists of a unit manager, a team leader, eight family therapists, and a coordinator against honor-related violence. You will be part of an engaged team that shares the goal of creating safety and protection for vulnerable individuals. We are located in central Västerås, near the central station and the Social Services House.

Additional Information

Probationary employment may apply. The position is security-classified, meaning a security assessment will be conducted. During the interview, you will need to verify your citizenship. This can be done with a passport or a certificate of citizenship along with an ID document. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must present a valid work permit or be exempt from the requirement to have a work permit. Employment can only occur after verification of the work permit, as required by the Aliens Ordinance. All offers of recruitment and advertising assistance are declined.
