Heby Health Center

Our 1800 employees work with close care and health in Uppsala County. We have a wide range of services within primary care. Our patients meet us at Region Uppsala's own health centers or within habilitation, and we provide advice over the phone via 1177. Education, research, and development are important to us, as we adapt our offerings based on the needs of the residents. We already offer mobile teams, video visits, and smart e-services.

Welcome to Heby Health Center!

We are looking for a colleague in social work who wants to develop with us and have a job that is both varied and stimulating. The position is a temporary contract at 75% for one year starting in May 2026.

Region Uppsala invests in secure employment and good benefits through our collective agreement. Read about our benefits here (https://www.regionuppsala.se/Global/Jobba%20hos%20oss/karri%E4rwebben/F%F6rm%E5nsbroschyr%20Region%20Uppsala_2019.pdf).

Your mission

Your area of work with us is psychosocial ill health that does not require the resources of specialist psychiatry. In your role as a social worker, you provide support and advice to strengthen the patient's resources to manage their life situation such as crisis and grief processing. You will work with individual psychosocial mapping and support the patient in navigating among the various support resources in society. You will be offered regular supervision.

You will primarily work independently, but also in teams, both with colleagues in the mental health team and with other professional groups at the health center. Your consultations with colleagues at the health center and within Primary Care are an important part of the job. The age group you will meet at the health center is adults from 18 years old.

Your qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a licensed healthcare social worker, with good experience in psychosocial work. Basic training in psychotherapy with a focus on CBT level 1 is an advantage, as well as experience from working in primary care.

To be successful in this role, you need to be self-directed, have good structure in your work, possess a strong initiative, and also have high flexibility. You enjoy developing operations and collaboration forms, both within and between health centers. Respectful treatment is a high priority in our mission, and therefore we place great importance on personal suitability for the position.

Our operations

Heby Health Center belongs to the management of Close Care and Health, Region Uppsala, and is located in western Uppland with about 7,000 registered patients, and we are 30 employees working in teams. Our operations are broad, and all professional areas within the health center's mission are represented. We also have a youth clinic.

Here at Heby Health Center, we work to maintain a good work environment with a "high ceiling" and satisfied patients. We work in close collaboration between all professions, and a guiding principle is "freedom under responsibility" where one has great opportunity to influence their work situation as long as the goals of the operation are met. The wide variety of patients creates a stimulating and developing workplace. We have diabetes, asthma/COPD, and heart failure nurses with their own clinics and a geriatric clinic.
