Kunskapsskolan in Sweden, which also includes Kunskapsgymnasiet, started its first schools in 2000 and now has 29 elementary schools and six high schools with 1,350 employees and 14,400 students. Kunskapsskolan is owned by founder Peje Emilsson and family.

For the school year 26/27, we will open the doors to a new school in Västerås. The school will start with grades F-4, and the ambition is to grow into a school that, when fully built, has 408 students distributed across grades F-6.

You will work at different levels as a counselor, i.e., from an individual, group, and organizational perspective to promote and prevent students' health and well-being.

As a counselor at Kunskapsskolan, you primarily work with preventive student health efforts in close collaboration with the rest of the student health team and the school's teachers, but also with the students and their guardians. You are never alone with challenges and questions. The openness among employees is great, and we have a shared responsibility for our students. In addition to the preventive student health work, you also need to help and support students with various everyday problems that may arise.

Qualifications

We are looking for a counselor who has a great commitment and who always actively works to ensure that all students succeed and feel good. You need to be flexible, have an easy time collaborating, and have a genuine interest in the student.

To succeed in the role of counselor, you need to build trust with the students, which means you need to be stable and secure as a person. You also need to be communicative and have a good ability to conduct structured and motivating conversations with the students.

You have a degree in social work or equivalent education. It is an advantage if you have previously worked with children and adolescents.

Job Design

The position is a permanent part-time employment of 50% that begins with a probationary period of 6 months. The planned start date is August 1.
