Your responsibilities

The work is outreach and relationship-building with children and young people at risk of falling into crime, substance abuse, and other socially destructive behaviors. You meet them in their environment, which can be in the neighborhood, at youth centers, or at school. You are skilled at building relationships and trust and increasing confidence in social services. It is a varied job, and you work according to a rolling schedule that includes evenings and weekends, all to be present when young people need our support. We are convinced that collaboration between key parties is a success factor in helping children and young people. Therefore, a focus area in the role is to create a structure for communication and collaboration with key parties, such as the police, schools, leisure services, social services, and other civil society actors. By creating a strong network around the youth, we strengthen preventive work and can act at an early stage.

Your qualifications

You have a strong interest in long-term relational social work, and your educational background is in social work. For you, meaningful work means making a difference for young people at risk of going astray and influencing their development in the right direction. One of your strengths in the job is your strong conviction and perseverance. You use your ability to build sustainable relationships and get others to work towards the same goals. It is a plus if you are used to working with young people who have issues related to substance abuse and/or crime or have experience from authority work within social services.

During the interview, you need to prove your citizenship. You can do this with a passport or a personal certificate along with an ID document. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must show that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the requirement to have a work permit.
