Coordinator/Administrator for Research and Community Medicine

The Research and Community Medicine Administration supports knowledge development, research, and the creation of factual basis, as well as collaborates on research, development, and innovation assignments. The administration is responsible for knowledge support and knowledge development within the welfare area in close cooperation with the municipalities in the region, particularly related to social services and adjacent health care issues.

Through investigations, evaluations, and support for research, development, and innovation, the administration creates conditions for knowledge production and evidence-based operations. The work promotes knowledge-driven development within health care, regional development, welfare, and higher education, and is based on a scientific approach and the best available knowledge. The administration operates cross-sectorally and supports initiatives that enable learning, follow-up, innovation, and strategic development.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Research and Community Medicine Administration is seeking a coordinator/administrator to support management in strengthening the region's knowledge-driven work. The role combines development assignments with qualified administrative support and involves contributing to structures for knowledge production, research, digital solutions, and analysis. You will work closely with the administration's managers and research director, participate in the management group, and be part of the staff. The work is varied, strategic, and operational, with a strong focus on coordination, planning, and improvement work in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities

  • support the administration's management in strategic and operational development work
  • contribute to structures for knowledge production, research, digital solutions, and AI support
  • participate in business analysis, business planning, and follow-up
  • ensure that decisions, guidelines, and information are communicated
  • develop and improve administrative routines and working methods
  • plan and coordinate meetings and write minutes
  • manage orders, invoices, and administrative coordination
  • provide support in communication and internal coordination
  • collaborate with functions within and outside Region Gävleborg
  • participate in the administration's management group as part of the staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in this role, we see that you have:

  • an academic degree, preferably in health economics, political science, research and innovation, or equivalent
  • experience in development and improvement work
  • experience in qualified administrative work and coordinating processes
  • the ability to communicate fluently in speech and writing in Swedish.

It is also meritorious, but not a requirement if you have:

  • knowledge of public administration or higher education activities
  • experience in research environments or investigative work
  • experience in development and innovation work
  • experience in process or project management.
