HR Partner at Uppsala Diocese

Since the beginning of 2025, Uppsala Diocese has launched a new service, HR services for congregations and parishes within Uppsala Diocese, where we at Service Bureau work as church consultants.

Due to demand, we are expanding our HR function and are looking for an experienced HR partner to strengthen and develop this newly launched fee-based support to congregations and parishes.

About the position

As an HR partner, you will have a varied role where you support the diocese's congregations and parishes across the entire HR area. You will drive HR processes, negotiate independently, and in this role, you will help shape how our HR support to congregations and parishes should function in the best way. You will work closely with our HR partner and HR generalist who also work with the fee-based support to the diocese's congregations and parishes.

Main tasks as an HR partner:

• Support congregations and parishes broadly in HR matters such as work environment, HR annual wheel, labor law issues, negotiations, personnel matters, rehabilitation, developing policies, guidelines, and local agreements, etc.
• Development of HR services that are sold to congregations together with the HR partner.

At the diocesan office, there are two HR partners, one supporting the diocesan office internally and one supporting congregations and parishes, and an HR generalist who also supports the diocese's congregations and parishes. In this role, you will belong to the Service Bureau Development unit.

About Service Bureau Development

Uppsala Diocese continuously works to develop new ways to support our congregations and parishes. One example of this is Service Bureau Development, the diocese's own consulting business. Here we offer fee-based support in areas such as HR, telecommunications, law, property, environment, and IT.

By providing part-time specialist competence, we can give parishes and congregations access to qualified support when needed. This means that they can access expertise without having to hire full-time.

Who are you?

You are a quick learner and can easily immerse yourself in various issues and see solutions. In this role, collaboration skills and relationship building are central, while you also have the ability to take responsibility and work independently. We are looking for someone with:

• A relevant bachelor's degree in human resources or equivalent.
• Work experience in broad HR work.
• Work experience in a consultative approach.
• Work experience in negotiation/cooperation or contact with trade unions.

Meritorious:

• Experience working in non-profit or public sector.
• Understanding of the Church of Sweden or other trust-based organizations.
