One of our fantastic employees is going on leave, and we are now looking for a temporary social worker for the financial support group within the Employment Unit. The Employment Unit includes financial assistance, municipal labor market policy, refugee reception, budget and debt counseling, and daily activities according to LSS.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a social worker within financial assistance, you will handle cases according to the Social Services Act (SoL). You will meet people in various life situations and provide support towards self-sufficiency through both authority exercise and motivational conversations.

The work includes, among other things:

• Processing applications for financial assistance, investigation, assessment, and decisions according to SoL, establishing and following up on implementation plans, collaborating with other units within the municipality as well as external actors such as the Employment Agency and the Social Insurance Agency, and documenting in the operational system Combine.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a degree in social work or other education that the employer deems equivalent
• Has good knowledge of the Social Services Act
• Is structured, legally secure, and has a good ability to make decisions
• Has a respectful and professional demeanor
• Enjoys both independent work and teamwork

Meritorious is:

• Experience working with financial assistance
• Experience in authority exercise
• Experience with the documentation system Combine
• Driver's license B

OTHER

In Vårgårda Municipality, full-time is the norm with the possibility of part-time. Since full-time assignments are lacking, it means that positions can be combined with other tasks or at another workplace.
