Personal Assistant Wanted

We are looking for a woman who wants to become a safe and important person in our client's life. Her epilepsy means she needs constant supervision, so it is important that the assistants are always fully focused on her. It is essential that the assistant has good Swedish to ensure effective communication with our client.

Our client has an intellectual disability, autism, and epilepsy. She is a calm and secure girl who enjoys music, walks, crafting, and relaxing at home on the couch. She thrives best in the company of others and has a great need for meaningful people around her. She has assistance around the clock, except when she is at her daily activities (which she attends weekdays from 7:45 AM to 4:30 PM). The work as an assistant is mostly scheduled from 4:30 PM on weekdays, evenings, nights, and weekends.

We are looking for assistants who, together with the family and the assistance company, want to help build a safe assistance environment where every day is meaningful.

Assistant's Role and Experience

As an assistant, you need to be responsible, loyal, attentive, meticulous, proactive, and positive. A great deal of patience is also important. Experience with individuals with disabilities or experience working with children is preferred. Most importantly, we are looking for the right person.

You need to be flexible regarding working hours since we in the team manage staffing if someone is sick or on vacation – we support our client and each other. Introduction and training will take place at the workplace.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in personal assistance.
• Pedagogical education.
• Experience with epilepsy.
• Experience with autism.
• Experience with disabilities.
• Flexible and able to take shifts on short notice.
• Good Swedish in both spoken and written form is a requirement.
• Driver's license and car are advantageous but not required.

Working Hours/Employment Rate

• Hourly employment.
• Working hours are irregular and vary week by week.
• The position primarily involves weekends as shifts are overnight, but weekday evenings and nights may also occur.
• On-call time is from 12 AM to 6 AM in the schedule.
