The position is placed within the Education Administration
The Education Administration is one of eight administrations in Linköping Municipality. We work to provide high-quality education, from preschool to adult education, giving the residents of Linköping the best opportunities to grow, develop their knowledge, and reach their full potential. Do you want to create security and a sense of future for our students? At Vist School, you make a difference every day and contribute to a learning environment where everyone has the opportunity to succeed. Welcome to us!
Your tasks
Your starting point as a teacher is to work with planning, teaching, evaluation, and value-based work based on the curriculum. The work is carried out both independently and in collaboration with colleagues.
As a teacher, you see the entire school day of the student as important, and therefore you collaborate with both guardians and colleagues regarding the student. As part of this, the school's and after-school care's activities also collaborate to achieve higher goal fulfillment and create the best conditions for each student. You start from the student group you meet and are expected to create varied and challenging teaching. Using digital tools is a natural part of your teaching.
You promote collegial learning through discussion and reflection in both planned and spontaneous occasions. To benefit students' learning, as well as your own and the development of the organization, you take advantage of the experiences and knowledge of different professions.
Your workplace
Vist School is a F-6 school located in the scenic Sturefors, just south of central Linköping. The school has about 350 students and offers a safe and inspiring learning environment close to both forest and lake, where a popular swimming area is often visited by both students and residents in the area.
At Vist School, we have high expectations of our students, and we work with clear goals and structured pedagogical planning. Our teaching is characterized by a striving for equity where all students are given the best possible conditions to succeed. We strive for each student to know what they are to learn and what support they can expect. We place great importance on creating a strong community and a clear sense of belonging, where traditions and recurring activities, such as the social evening we conduct together with all guardians, contribute to building cohesion among students, guardians, and staff.
The entire school has been newly renovated and offers modern, purpose-built learning environments. Here, you as a teacher have the opportunity to work in a pleasant and developing environment with engaged colleagues and a strong team spirit. We are looking for someone who wants to help create a safe, inspiring, and educational school day for our students.
You who are applying
Primarily, we are looking for someone with a teaching license with the authority to teach grades 1-3 in Swedish and mathematics. Secondarily, we are looking for someone with a completed teacher education for grades 1-3. Alternatively, you are in the final stages of your education to become a teacher for grades 1-3. It is an advantage if you have authority in more subjects such as music, social studies, or natural sciences.
It is a requirement that you have experience working in a curriculum-driven school through practice or as an employee.
In your role as a teacher in grades 1-3, you have good knowledge of the school's mission and are well acquainted with the curriculum (Lgr22) and other governing documents. You have good communicative skills in spoken and written Swedish. This is so that you, according to the curriculum (Lgr22), can organize and carry out the work so that the student receives support in their language and communication development. You are responsible for ensuring that each student can use the Swedish language in a rich and nuanced way.
As a teacher in grades 1-3, you are a good role model. You have the ability to adapt your teaching to the students and allow them to participate in shaping the teaching. In a quality-conscious way, you create good conditions for the student's development and learning and document it. You collaborate well with colleagues, guardians, and other contacts in the community that occur in your professional role.
