Educational Specialist in E-Learning

The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and we are now looking for more employees. The mission of the Education Unit is to closely collaborate with the operations to develop, plan, administer, implement, follow up, and ensure the quality of agency-wide staff training.

The Education Unit will work strategically and long-term with educational supply and competence development for the entire agency. This also includes responsibility for the development of pedagogy and methodology, distance education, e-learning, follow-up, and evaluation models.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The position is located in the Section for Admissions and Educational Production, which works with method development and production of internal training. We are moving towards a more flexible and web-based learning approach, and therefore we are now seeking an educational specialist with expertise in e-learning production and digital learning environments. You will work together with other specialists, educators, and operational experts on pedagogical development work, primarily focusing on e-learning, distance education, and those educational forms where the physical and digital spaces meet.

You will be part of a team that works together to produce e-courses and online training. You will inspire and guide colleagues in other parts of the organization in the use of the digital learning environment and also provide support regarding the choice of alternative methods and digital opportunities in teaching. In your work, you will meet content experts while you, in line with the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's pedagogical strategy, will design and lead the work.

You will report to the section manager of the Section for Admissions and Educational Production.

Travel may be included in the assignment.

QUALIFICATIONS

You need to be communicative, both in writing and verbally, and have structure in your work. Furthermore, it is important that you have the ability to look up and see the bigger picture.

We are looking for someone who has:

• A university degree with a technical and/or pedagogical focus, or other education combined with experience that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service deems relevant
• Experience working with authoring tools, preferably Articulate Storyline
• Experience in film production
• Experience in film editing with programs such as Adobe Premiere and Da Vinci Resolve
• Excellent ability to express oneself verbally and in writing in Swedish
• Excellent ability to express oneself verbally and in writing in English

It is advantageous if you have:

• Experience in educational and development work within a larger organization
• Experience in developing and providing support in the use of digital tools in teaching and pedagogical development work
• Experience in teaching in adult education
• Experience working with AI
• Experience in animation work
• Experience working in LMS
• Experience working within the Swedish Prison and Probation Service
