About the job
As a Release Train Engineer (RTE), you will lead an organization with 13 development teams. You will work in an agile context supported by the SAFe framework, and the teams you lead will deliver within the area of Population Registration. Your task is to facilitate the release train in achieving goals and deliveries by guiding agreed principles and coaching towards an effective working method. You actively work to facilitate communication, coordination, and collaboration within the train management, between development teams, and with the business. You are a prerequisite-creating leader and coach for the entire release train.
You will lead our increment planning in an inspiring and effective way that creates value and transparency. You continuously work on following up and improving the work towards our common goals and priorities. Feedback and retrospectives are seen as natural parts of the journey to becoming better, and you build relationships that create engagement.

You will belong to a competent team in the IT department located in Umeå, where we have about 200 employees. Our office is located at Östra Station in Umeå.
About you

You should also have:
- relevant higher education/university degree in IT or several years of current and relevant work experience
- several years of current and relevant experience working in a large organization with agile change management or other similar experience deemed relevant by the employer.
It is desirable that you have current and relevant experience working within the agile framework SAFe. It is also desirable that you have several years of current and relevant experience working as a Release Train Engineer or Scrum Master.
Good to know
The employment is permanent and may start with a probationary period of six months.
