You want to work with embedded solutions that make a real difference in safety-critical and technically advanced environments. We are looking for an experienced developer who wants to contribute both your expertise and curiosity to projects that truly matter – especially within the defense and automotive industries.
With us, you will work closely with hardware and be part of the entire chain, from electronics and real-time critical systems to integration with advanced sensor systems and edge devices. Here, you will face challenges that require both deep technical understanding and the ability to see the big picture.
We believe you have at least five years of experience in embedded development, preferably in safety-critical or complex systems. You are accustomed to working with languages such as C/C++ and are familiar with modern development methods, but above all, you are passionate about engineering work. If you are also interested in areas such as computer vision, AI, or cloud integration, we see it as a significant bonus.
Software & Cloud, one of our business areas within Knightec Group, helps customers develop future-proof and large-scale computer and software systems across the IT landscape – from electronic devices and networks to data-driven enterprise applications supported by AI and cloud services.
ResponsibilitiesDrive and contribute to development projects within embedded systems. From further developing existing solutions to building entirely new systems.
Utilize your expertise in Linux, C++, and control systems to create reliable and high-performance software.
Collaborate cross-functionally with colleagues in electronics, systems, and testing to solve challenges that truly matter.
Stay updated on the latest technology and contribute to driving innovation forward.
Five years of experience in embedded development, preferably focusing on Linux and C++.
Knowledge of control systems and understanding of the entire product development cycle.
Experience in technically leading teams or driving parts of development projects is a plus.
Interest in working within automotive and/or defense.
You are a creative problem solver with a positive attitude towards teamwork.
Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.
Practical informationThis is a permanent position with a six-month probation period, located at our office in Umeå, Brogatan 1. Travel may occur to our clients. Start date is as soon as possible or by agreement.
