Senior BI Consultant at Dizparc Umeå – for those looking to take the next step in data, Analytics & AI

Do you want to work in a team where quality, customer value, and technology go hand in hand? Dizparc Umeå is now looking for a senior Business Intelligence consultant who wants to help develop modern data and analytics solutions for our clients – based on Microsoft’s Data & AI platform.

This is a role for you who has solid experience in BI and enjoys the consulting role where you can combine technical expertise, business understanding, and advisory skills.

About the role

As a senior BI consultant with us, you will:

• Lead and execute BI and data platform projects in close dialogue with clients.
• Work with modern solutions within Power BI, SQL Server, Azure Data Platform, and preferably Fabric or Databricks.
• Model, transform, and structure data (DW/ETL/ELT).
• Design reports, dashboards, and semantic models of high quality.
• Work on projects related to AI/ML, either through practical experience or relevant education.
• Be an advisor to clients regarding data platforms, analytics strategies, and architecture.
• Contribute to skill development within the team and be a sounding board in client dialogues.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previously worked as a consultant (at least 3–5 years of experience).
• Has experience with Power BI, T-SQL, Azure Data Platform, or equivalent technologies.
• Has practical experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT, or data warehousing.
• Has a good understanding of business processes and how data supports decision-making.
• Communicates fluently in Swedish and English.

It is a merit to have:

• Experience with AI projects, prompt engineering, model training, or AI-related education.
• Experience with Azure Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, Databricks, or similar platforms.
• Experience working with or contributing to architecture for data warehouses and decision support platforms.
• Experience with projects in industry, energy, retail, manufacturing, finance, or the public sector.
• Certifications in Microsoft Data & AI.
