We are now looking for a project assistant for the WASP-HS Program Office.

As a project assistant for WASP-HS, you will be employed and work at the Department of Computer Science, Umeå University. The position is full-time (100%) for six months. Start date as soon as possible or by agreement.

WASP-HS
The Wallenberg AI, Autonomous Systems and Software Program – Humanity and Society, WASP-HS, is a national research program that promotes humanities and social science research on AI and autonomous systems and their consequences for humans and society. WASP-HS supports research, doctoral education, and research collaboration, and aims to be a national arena for research in the field.

Umeå University is the host university for WASP-HS, and the program office is located at the Department of Computer Science at Umeå University. Learn more about our activities here: WASP-HS (https://wasp-hs.org/).

Main Responsibilities
· Design and implement automated workflows for media monitoring (Retriever, Factiva) and collection of academic publications.
· Develop contingency solutions for data retrieval.
· Integrate automation scripts with the WASP-HS administrative web application and website.
· Perform maintenance, testing, and improvement of the existing database.
· Document processes and create a manual for administrators.

Qualifications/Competence
· Master's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
· Experience with API integration, data processing, and automation workflows.
· Professional experience as a consultant and program developer.
· Knowledge of Swedish media platforms and academic publishing systems.
· Knowledge of web technologies and database management.

Other Desirable Qualifications
· Experience with AI/LLM-based filtering and data analysis.
· Experience working at a university.
· Experience or knowledge of the WASP-HS program.

We are looking for someone who is analytical, problem-solving, and self-driven. You are structured, meticulous, and possess excellent communication and organizational skills. You can work effectively both independently and in a team.
