Temporary System Administrator at Umeå Municipality
Umeå Municipality and the social services are facing a significant challenge in the coming years with an increasing population that will need support and assistance to manage their daily lives.
Part of the competence supply is digitalization. Here at the social services' system management, we play a significant role as we manage and develop the operational systems used by social services (Support and Care and Elderly Care), including Treserva, Intraphone, LifeCare SP, Phoniro, and Sensio.
The system management of social services operates according to the management model PM-3, where an IT-related part and an operational part collaborate. We belong to the operational part, which currently consists of one object manager and 11 system administrators/object specialists.
The object is tasked with delivering object management, user support, change management, and daily IT operations and maintenance for all IT components included in the object. Our clients are all operations included in social services. In addition to maintenance, the object is also responsible for further development of the IT components, ranging from version upgrades to contract follow-up.
We are now looking for a temporary system administrator!
Your Responsibilities
In the role of temporary system administrator, you will work operationally with IT support and welfare technology used in the social services' operations. You are a key person in the management organization and serve as the central contact point for staff using the systems in their daily work. The main focus of the role is to provide support to end-users – ensuring that the systems work in practice and that users receive the help they need.
This means that you primarily work with:
- Providing user support and guidance – answering questions, solving problems, and guiding staff in system usage.
- Performing system administration and access management – managing user accounts and permissions.
- Logging and other administrative tasks – for example, developing and revising routines and manuals.
- Investigating and following up on cases – analyzing and addressing errors, and ensuring that solutions work.
About You
We are looking for someone who is educated as a social worker, nurse, system scientist, behavioral scientist, or has other education deemed equivalent by the employer.
We would like you to have work experience in the areas of social services, e.g., authority exercise, provider, or health and medical care. You should have experience as a user of process support (Treserva), planning tools (Intraphone), or welfare technology and e-services.
It is an advantage if you have work experience as a super user, system instructor, or equivalent, as well as familiarity with working in case management systems.
You plan and carry out activities with great precision. You work in a structured manner and have good pedagogical and communicative skills that you can apply based on varying conditions and needs from involved parties. You can highlight issues from different perspectives and are solution-oriented.
In the role, you have many contacts both externally and internally, and it is important that you are attentive and capable of handling shifting needs and conditions. We strive for an organization characterized by equality and diversity in all respects. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
