About the job
You will work with system development in an agile development team where you collectively are responsible for the team's deliveries while also considering the whole and contributing to a well-functioning society. You have the freedom to organize your work within the team and work together towards a common goal. The team is cross-functional and there is an opportunity to delve into different areas. We have a long-term mission and focus on sustainable, future-proof solutions with minimized technical debt. The societal benefit is always in focus. We are currently undergoing a system renewal where we are introducing modern technology and developing our architecture. The development environment includes Red Hat OpenShift, Java, Spring Boot, and React. You will work on problem-solving and writing code that matters to many.

You will belong to a competent team in the IT development unit for people and property, located in Umeå, where we have about 200 employees in the IT department. Our office is located at Östra Station in Umeå.
About you

In this job, you should:
- have good collaboration skills, be helpful, and have a good demeanor

- have good problem-solving skills, see patterns, and be able to make delimitations
- be goal-oriented and contribute to achieving the purpose of the organization
- have the ability to take initiative, find new solutions, and drive ideas to implementation
- express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish.
You should also have:
- relevant post-secondary education in IT, or several years of relevant work experience in the IT field
- several years of current and relevant work experience as a system developer or similar roles that the employer deems relevant
It is desirable that you have several years of current and relevant experience working with object-oriented programming languages. It is also desirable that you have relevant experience working according to agile methods.

The employment is permanent and may start with a six-month probationary period.
Employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security review with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a decision on employment. For some of our tasks in security class, Swedish citizenship is required.
