Welcome to the Care and Support Administration. We work with support and care for the elderly and for people with disabilities. The goal is for them to be able to live as active and independent lives as possible.

The Care and Support Administration is one of Sweden's largest employers in municipal care and support. Here, approximately 7,500 employees work based on our values – making a difference, working together, and welcoming innovation. With us, there are great opportunities to take responsibility, develop, and contribute with your expertise. We strive for an organizational culture with trust in each other and pride in our operations.

More information about working in Uppsala Municipality can be found at Uppsala Municipality (https://www.uppsala.se/jobb/vard-halsa-omsorg/).

Within the Care and Support Administration, we have full-time as the norm. This means that all permanent employees essentially have a full-time position. More information about what this means for this position will be provided during a potential interview. Exempt from full-time as the norm are personal assistants.

If you thrive with freedom under responsibility, development work, and want to work in an organization that makes a significant difference in small ways, then this could be the position for you!

We operate from Fyrisborgsgatan 1 where we share premises with other operations within the department, creating great opportunities for collaboration across operational boundaries. Working hours are primarily during office hours, but there may occasionally be some evening work, for example, during lectures that we offer to our employees.

We apply trust time and the possibility of some remote work if the operations allow.

Job Description

Within supportive measures, we implement assistance decisions regarding measures such as support families, escorting, respite care, and contact persons. We collaborate with each other and other operations to find the best solution for the individual. A significant focus moving forward is on development work, quality assurance of operations, and creating routines and working methods to ensure that measures are carried out with the best quality. We work for a large number of people and need to be characterized by flexibility and solution focus, along with the ability to handle multiple processes simultaneously to succeed in our mission.

You will be part of a team with 8 other coordinators, two caseworkers, and a manager. You will work independently with your cases and, together with colleagues and the manager, develop the operations and find new collaboration opportunities. Your work will include working with the measures of contact persons, escort services, and respite services by receiving orders from caseworkers, creating implementation plans, and recruiting and matching employees to assignments.

You will also be responsible for daily supervision, which includes providing information and instructions to employees, working for a quality-assured operation in collaboration with other functions within the area, home visits, and network meetings. You will follow up on the measures together with caseworkers. You will also handle payroll reporting and reporting of time spent with users, as well as continuously writing social journals.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a high school diploma, and if you are educated as a social worker, behavioral scientist, or have equivalent education, it is an advantage. You need to have experience working in care and support. We would like you to have experience collaborating with authorities and the target group of people with disabilities. If you also have experience in recruitment, social documentation, and payroll management, we see it as a benefit.

You also need to have good knowledge of Microsoft 365 and documentation skills. You should enjoy development work and creating routines, and you need to have a driver's license. The work requires you to have good oral and written skills in Swedish, as well as a B driver's license. It is a plus if you have language skills beyond Swedish and English.

As a person, you take responsibility for your tasks and structure your approach independently. You drive your processes forward and work well with other people. You relate to them in a responsive and smooth manner. You listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts constructively. You have the ability to understand someone else's perspective or situation without taking over their feelings. You are meticulous and well aware of goals and quality standards. You place great importance on meeting these. You easily adapt to and see opportunities with new ideas, methods, and working methods. You drive and implement change.
