ABOUT THE POSITION:Our client is a large government authority based in Norrköping that is now opening an office in central Linköping. They have over 6000 employees, and the development department has 450 people divided into three sections and 20 development teams.
We are now looking for a skilled developer for the platform and system development team that develops core functions in Java and supports the service development section. Together with your team, you will:
- Develop and deliver new features and services
- Manage and improve existing features and services
- Work with tools, technologies, and frameworks that make development easier and more efficient
- Test your code and others' code
- Communicate and collaborate with stakeholders, other development teams, and operations and support organizations
Development primarily takes place in Java in a modern cloud-based microservices environment and event-driven architecture where Kafka is used as the streaming platform. For those with longer experience in system development, there is also an opportunity to develop towards an architect role.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO:- Has a relevant bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, such as computer engineering, software engineering, media technology, information systems, or equivalent
- Has at least one year of work experience in system development
- Has good programming skills, preferably in Java or similar languages
- Has fluent knowledge of Swedish and English, as both languages are used in daily work
We consider it an advantage if you have experience with CI/CD and agile methods, SQL, and modern Java-based frameworks.

ABOUT THE EMPLOYMENT:Swedish citizenship is required, and a security clearance with a background check will be conducted before employment.
This is a consulting assignment, which means that you will initially be employed by Friday. The intention thereafter is that after 9-12 months, you will be permanently employed by the client.
