Our Operations

The field of geriatrics, rehabilitation medicine, and pain center is characterized by well-functioning multidisciplinary teams, something we are very proud of. Our area of operation has a broad mission where it is meaningful, exciting, and developing to work. There are good opportunities to participate in development work and research - in our work, we implement new knowledge into care. We dare to try new paths, and our driving force is to make a difference for our patients every day. We constantly work on improvements to find ways of working where the patient is at the center and the competencies of all professions are utilized. Thanks to advances in medicine, care, and lifestyle habits, we are living longer, which brings new demands on healthcare. The patients we care for carry a whole life in their backpacks, multiple diseases, and often a complex health situation. In the geriatric orthopedic department 30B, we care for patients with fractures, fall traumas, pain issues both before and after surgery, and we have also started receiving vascular patients. We receive patients from orthopedics, vascular surgery, and the emergency department. As a nursing assistant, you will work in a broad knowledge field that spans orthopedics, surgery, medicine, and geriatrics, the best of the best!

Your Mission

As a nursing assistant, you work closely with the patient and are responsible for parts of the care. You observe, assess, perform, and evaluate care. Your tasks include taking venous samples, placing catheters, care around feeding tubes, wound dressings, suture removal, monitoring vital parameters, EKG, bladder scans, taking various cultures, and rehabilitation. You work in a team with nurses, operational nursing assistants, doctors, and health professionals.

Your Qualifications

• We are looking for you who are a trained nursing assistant (certificate must be attached to the application) or studying to become a doctor or nurse.
• It is essential that you enjoy working with elderly people!

Your Competence

The function requires that you are confident in your nursing assistant skills. You enjoy working with elderly people, have a good demeanor, and possess good cooperation skills. You have the competence to use the right approach when meeting individuals affected by cognitive impairment, acute confusion, and in a new life situation. We believe it is important that you are an engaged and positive colleague who contributes to a good work environment. Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities and that you find it rewarding to work with elderly people. You want to help others become their best!

Since July 1, 2023, nursing assistant is a protected professional title. This means that a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare is required to use the title nursing assistant. Due to the national legal requirements, you may receive the title care assistant in your employment contract.
