Our Operations

The Håbo-Enköping psychiatric clinic is part of the section for addiction and neuropsychiatry, which in turn is one of four sections within the field of psychiatry at Akademiska sjukhuset. The section consists of two inpatient wards and four outpatient clinics.

Within the section, there is a wide range of expertise with specialists, nurses, caregivers, social workers, psychologists, pharmacists, and occupational therapists who work together in multiprofessional teams to ensure that all patients receive good and safe care. As part of a university hospital, research and teaching are integral parts of our operations alongside an evidence-based approach. We place great emphasis on care development, care processes, and research, and we have our own FoUU group linked to our section that works in close collaboration with the university.

For us, it is a priority to continuously improve and maintain good care and working conditions where the opportunity for regular continuing education is an important and natural part. As a newly employed specialist, you will also be offered a personalized introduction with the possibility of having your own mentor.

Your Mission

As a specialist at the Håbo-Enköping psychiatric clinic, you will work with three other specialists and rotating residents in specialized psychiatric outpatient care within the municipalities of Håbo and Enköping. The clinic's mission includes outpatient care for psychotic, affective, and addiction disorders as well as neuropsychiatric conditions, which offers opportunities to develop expertise in several diagnostic areas. Time is allocated for regular meetings with colleagues and for mentoring students from both the medical program, AT, and ST. The clinic is located in premises near Enköping's travel center, which provides good opportunities for smooth commuting from Uppsala, Västerås, and Stockholm. We offer a good working environment with the advantages of a small clinic and short decision-making paths while having access to the resources and expertise of a large hospital. Together, we create an open and developing workplace where competence development is a natural part. We have good cohesion and a high level of job satisfaction.

With well-functioning systems for remote work, it is possible to partially work remotely with flexible hours by agreement. There is also the possibility of on-call and standby duties, but this is not mandatory.

Your Qualifications

You are a physician with specialist competence in psychiatry. You have the ability to inspire change and development and have a broad psychiatric interest. Naturally, you always put the patient in focus and have the ability to communicate your clinical assessments and decisions. You are clear in your role, where your knowledge and competence make the team around the patient confident in providing good and safe care.

We offer a permanent full-time position, part-time can also be discussed. Start date according to agreement. Prior to employment, an extract from the suspicion and criminal record will be obtained.
