Our 1800 employees work with close care and health in Uppsala County. We have a wide range of services within primary care. Our patients meet us at Region Uppsala's own health centers or within habilitation, and we provide advice over the phone via 1177. Education, research, and development are important to us, as we tailor our services based on the needs of the residents. Already, we offer mobile teams, video visits, and smart e-services.

Here at Knivsta Health Center, a UNIQUE opportunity is offered for you as a general practitioner to work with 1100 patients on your list! How would you work if you had 1100 on your list? Now you have the chance to realize this by being part of Knivsta Health Center's future initiative. We are pleased to hire more general practitioners to the health center to reach the target of 1100 listed patients per full-time general practitioner by 2025. This gives us the opportunity to continue developing and improving our working methods, patient safety, and the work environment at the health center.

Your Mission

During 2025, we have the opportunity to start working with 1100 patients per full-time general practitioner, and therefore we need to grow. Now you have the chance to be part of the start and shape new working methods and patient flows together with your colleagues. Your tasks consist of outpatient work with varied tasks as well as a great opportunity for supervision of students and residents. There is also the possibility of assignments at BVC, SÄBO, UM, and MVC according to your wishes. Some on-call duties are also included.

Your Competence

We are looking for you who are a physician with specialist competence in general medicine with a Swedish license and a good ability to communicate in Swedish, both spoken and written. You enjoy working in a team with the patient at the center and would like to contribute to the development of the operation. Furthermore, we place great importance on personal qualities.

Our Operations

Knivsta Health Center is a stable and well-staffed health center where we focus on patient continuity and quality. We are centrally located next to the train station with good communication opportunities to both Uppsala and Stockholm. Knivsta municipality has a young population and rapid growth, which means we are at the forefront of new working methods and digitalization. For us, collaboration and development within the profession and the operation are important, and we hope you share our values. We have 12,500 listed patients and about 50 employees.

The health center belongs to the department of Close Care and Health, Region Uppsala. All professions are represented at the health center with physiotherapists, social workers, psychologists, dieticians, district nurses, registered nurses, asthma and diabetes nurses, nursing assistants, midwives, and medical secretaries. Therefore, we have great opportunities for multiprofessional teamwork with various patient education programs, such as COPD and pain groups where we can utilize our gym. The gym can also be used by employees during breaks, before or after working hours.

The operations include outpatient services, maternal and child health care, youth reception, and elderly care. The medical group at the health center currently consists of 7 specialists and 5 residents, BT doctors, and AT doctors. We have a stable medical group with good cohesion that enjoys collegial discussions and where improvement work and quality are a major focus. The medical group often has joint lunches either in central Knivsta or on our lovely outdoor terrace when the sun is shining.
